Found an old pic...

I always found the short lived Harmony Complete Calendar to be gorgeous. This image is from 2017 at the VC Boutique in Singapore. Harmony Complete Calendar.

Platinum beauty

I had the chance to try a couple of times the platinum version and I must say I felt in love with it … if there wasn’t this small, nagging details of price tag. The movement, the combination of complications, the relative scarcity. What is not too love? I

simple elegance - great scholarship as ever

Watches started out round (even almost spherical) probably as derived from the circles defined by the motion of the hands. Then someone had the brilliant idea "why not square? It might look good", and it did But still the movements (in these cases at leas

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

I do like the harmony of the dial on the yellow gold. And I still like the steel version even with the mis-matched date disc. But I wonder if it were a color matched date disc if it'd work better. I think it's definitely a potential! In Sebks' photo, the

What a great lineage...

All of these watches are stunning. It's a great lineage. The dial proportions of the early Ref 3307s are the best to my eyes. The subdials are large, but not too close to the centre stack. The spirit of these early watches is found in the modern Patek 595

A comparative view on the Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Platinum Salmon Dial, 2022.

Let's come back to a watch I furtively saw at Watches and Wonders, last year, as this year I saw nothing which piqued my interest, from Vacheron Constantin: The Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in platinum. A few days before seeing it in real

To me, the orientation is important...

...not just from a historical perspective (we have an old, English wall clock and the numerals are radial, i.e. not 'flipped'). It's also about naturally reading them. My brain anyway (as OCD as it is) does not want to have 2 different orientations. Same

What I live about VC is

how far they venture out in their designs. The have an incredibly wide range and the courage to do things like the 1921 or the Quai de l‘Ile or the Harmony lines. All this combined with a level of execution that is on par with the peers you mentioned.

This is a landmark piece which I believe will be of historical significance for VC

I have always loved these harmony cased watches... the unique shapeto me is very VC. I know initially people were not into the size of that case, but it is spot on for you. New in house VC movement shift from lemania and beautiful tourbillon with Maltese
